Rumble vs Jayce · Top lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Jayce has strong early lane pressure; Rumble must play safe before level 3, as he gets poked easily. After level 3, look for trading opportunities.

How a strong Jayce player plays

  1. 1

    Bait Q with Cannon Minion

Jayce will pressure you when you go for cannon minion. If he Qs onto you, he will eat your E. Even if he flashes, he is slowed; you can flash to kill.

  2. 2

    Double Long Sword Electrocute Burst

With double Long Swords, Electrocute, and Last Stand, Jayce's auto-W-auto combo deals high burst damage. Your shield won't save you.

  3. 3

    Level 2 Movespeed Pressure

After level 2, Jayce uses his movespeed advantage to constantly pressure you, but be cautious when tower diving, or you'll lose minions.
