Ornn runes: Grasp of the Undying + Precision tree. Against melee: secondary runes Triumph and Legend: Alacrity, plus one Attack Speed shard. Against AP, prioritize Hollow Radiance (MR version) and Sunfire. Sunfire's minion explosion damage is good. Get Bramble Vest to counter her healing. With 400 gold, buy a Tear of the Goddess under tower for mana sustain.

How a strong Gwen player plays

  1. 1

    Bait E, then counterattack

    Gwen will intentionally use E to last hit. If she doesn't hit a champion, the cooldown is long. Punish her during this window.

  2. 2

    Trade after W ends

    Don't rush to trade when she uses W. Wait for it to end before engaging, as she is hard to deal with during W.

  3. 3

    Kite with R

    When she ults, use E to dodge damage. After she uses her skills, auto-attack to proc Brittle, then Q-W to counterattack.
