Ornn runes: Grasp of the Undying + Precision tree. Against melee, secondary runes: Triumph and Legend: Alacrity, plus one Attack Speed shard. After building Warmog's, use passive regen to become a sustain machine. Against tough early matchups, start Refillable Potion for extra sustain and buy an extra Control Ward.

How a strong Akali player plays

    Bait Skills with Shroud

    After level 6, Akali will hold her shroud until you use your abilities. Walk up and auto-attack to bait out the shroud before comboing, otherwise she will dodge your damage with W.

  2. 2

    Dodge Trades with E

    Akali will use her E to retreat or engage. Watch her E cooldown when trading to avoid being counter-attacked.
