Runes: Presence of Mind and Manaflow Band for mana, then Transcendence and double scaling CDR (Legend: Haste) to reduce Q cooldown. Secondary: Transcendence. Summoner spells: Flash and Ghost, no Ignite, because killing Yorick reduces Q-stacking opportunities. First recall buy Ionian Boots of Lucidity, then Sheen, then rush Spear of Shojin. The build aims to maximize Q cooldown reduction. Essence Reaver and Sheen provide CDR, but Essence Reaver on Nasus may be unconventional; Frozen Heart is also a good choice, but you need to balance damage and tankiness.

Nasus vs Yorick is a pure Q-stacking fiesta; the ghouls give stacks and heal, and after level 6 with Spear of Shojin, he takes off. Yorick can't suppress him.

How a strong Yorick player plays

    Q poke then retreat

    He will start by hiding in the bush, using Q to poke you and then backing off. Note his Q has a shorter cooldown, so he will trade frequently to stack Grasp.

  2. 2

    Level 2 E with Ignite

    After he learns E at level 2, combined with Q and Ignite, he has high burst, but if damage is insufficient, he'll only force your Teleport.

  3. 3

    Aggressive trading after Sheen

    After he recalls and buys Sheen, his damage spikes, and he will trade more aggressively to suppress you early.
