Matchup plan

Take Phase Rush to close the gap with movespeed; even if knocked away, you can catch up. Start Doran's Ring for aggressive playstyle; frequent trades make Jayce uncomfortable, even if you miss CS. First recall prioritize boots and Ionian Boots of Lucidity for movespeed to proc Phase Rush and catch Jayce even after knockback.

Nasus vs Jayce · Top lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Jayce is squishy; Nasus can suppress him early with E poke. Phase Rush movespeed prevents being knocked away, and high armor ignores tower damage. Overall favorable matchup.

How a strong Jayce player plays

  1. 1

    Poke with E, then kite

Jayce will frequently poke you with E. After he uses E, he'll use Acceleration Gate to retreat, then wait for your Wither cooldown before pressuring you again.

  2. 2

    Hammer form burst

He'll switch to hammer form for a close-range burst combo, then use Acceleration Gate to disengage, making it hard for you to retaliate.

  3. 3

    Cannon form poke

Jayce pokes you with cannon form Q. When your health is low, he'll directly jump on you with hammer form.
