Core game plan

Early game you have to play safe; before level 6 you're easily poked. You need to rely on slow pushing waves and baiting her abilities to farm, with low margin for error.

How a strong Gwen player plays

  1. 1

    Stack Passive for Trades

Gwen will stack her passive, then use E to engage on you. Back off and keep distance to avoid free damage.

  2. 2

    Bait Ultimate and Counter

Intentionally take damage to bait out all her abilities, then pop your ultimate and counter-attack. Pay attention to Sheen procs and Q timing.

  3. 3

    E for Harass

When minions are low, Gwen will use E to last-hit and harass you, forcing you to choose between missing CS or taking damage.
