Take Shield Bash with Conqueror and Last Stand for high burst on auto-attacks, compensating for early damage. Alternatively, take Bone Plating; once it's popped, Darius can't pressure your wave. If teammates are behind and you need to carry, build Riftmaker, Steelcaps, Zhonya's, Spirit Visage, then situational items.

How a strong Darius player plays

    Outer Ring Poke

    Darius will poke you with his outer Q while you last hit, using your Q animation to land auto-W.

    Level 1 Flank, Deny XP

    Darius takes W at level 1, flanks to deny melee minion XP, forces your Q, then Ghosts for a kill.

  3. 3

    Corner E Pull

    Darius will use brush vision to pull you with E from a corner, increasing kill success.
