Matchup plan

If your team lacks AP and the enemy backline is squishy, build AP Malphite to one-shot squishies in teamfights. If the enemy lacks tank-busting, prioritize tank items; if your team needs AP damage, build some AP. AP Malphite relies on ult for damage; building tank only lets you soak damage and annoy the ADC. If you're prone to dying due to misplays, skip Mejai's Soulstealer; other items can still carry.

Malphite vs Camille · Top lane matchup

01

Core game plan

Malphite has an advantage against Camille: poke with Q, block her W with your W, and if she misses E she's a free kill. After level 3, you can easily dominate.

How a strong Camille player plays

  1. 1

    E engage breaks shield

Camille will use E to dash in and auto-attack to break your passive shield, then tank your Q in trades.

  2. 2

    W poke

Camille will try to poke you with W, but it doesn't heal if it hits your shield. She'll break your shield first before using W.

  3. 3

    Ult dodge

Camille knows she can't fight you when you ult, so she'll preemptively use E to disengage or dodge.
