Matchup plan

Take Conqueror, not Grasp of the Undying. Grasp reduces early lane pressure but lacks mid-game damage; you can't outplay Renekton with it. Conqueror provides the mid-game damage you need to fight him. Consider starting Doran's Shield for its sustain and wave control, avoiding pushing the wave by autoing minions for health, which could lead to a bad wave state.

How a strong Renekton player plays

  1. 1

    Empowered Q trade

Renekton will bait your W then use empowered Q. Don't use W easily; his Q cooldown is shorter than yours. Play the spacing game.

  2. 2

    W control combo

Renekton will use empowered W to stun you when your Q or W is on cooldown. Don't get close when your abilities are down.

  3. 3

    E to dodge W

Renekton will use E to dodge your W. Don't use W early; wait until he uses E.
