Against mage supports, swap adaptive force for magic resist in minor runes to reduce poke damage. Against mage supports like Lux, Mikael's Crucible cleanses her CC and works well. Build it or Knight's Vow second for team protection. Choose Swiftness Boots against mage supports because Thresh's base MS was nerfed; he needs speed to close in.

How a strong Lux player plays

    Bait Q, then walk up to pressure

    Lux will fake left and right behind minions to bait your Q, then walk up to Q your ADC during your cooldown.

  2. 2

    E poke while you last hit

    At level 1 when you have Q not E, Lux will use E to poke you guaranteed while you last hit, playing aggressively.

  3. 3

    Predictive backward Q

    Lux will predict your backward movement to land her Q, while using small sidesteps to dodge your hook.
