Matchup plan

Take Nimbus Cloak when laning pressure is low, gaining movespeed advantage in 2v2 bot skirmishes or when enemy jungler ganks, improving kiting and escape. Take Guardian when laning pressure is high, swapping small rune from Attack Speed to Ability Haste or Adaptive Force for better survivability and skill frequency. Build Knight's Vow against heavy physical damage.

Soraka vs Ashe · Support matchup

01

Core game plan

Soraka can easily trade for free by hitting Q on Ashe, and bush kiting makes Ashe uncomfortable. After hitting level 2 first, Soraka has strong pressure and the matchup is overall favorable.

How a strong Ashe player plays

  1. 1

    W poke and kite

High-level Ashe players will use W to poke you from range while using the slow to create distance, making it hard for you to land Q.

  2. 2

    E to scout bushes

Ashe will use E to scout bushes, preventing you from kiting with bushes and losing trade initiative.

  3. 3

    R to initiate kills

After level 6, Ashe can combo with her support, using R to stun you and focus fire; if you miss Q, you can be easily killed.
