Karma has long range and a shield. Lucian is a sitting duck without his abilities. Poking from the brush allows for safe trades, and after level 6 it's easier to kill him.

How a strong Lucian player plays

  1. 1

    After abilities, step forward

    After Lucian uses Q or E, step forward and start with auto-attack, then Q to trade. He has no abilities to retaliate, and each wave can take half his HP.

  2. 2

    Use brush to kite

    Auto-attack from brush, then immediately enter brush to dodge abilities, then exit for another auto. Stand at brush edge to dodge Q.

  3. 3

    Punish last-hit animation

    Watch minion HP, when he starts last-hitting, throw E then back off, while casting Q from fog of war. Be mindful of minion HP to avoid unfavorable trades.
