Matchup plan

Consider taking Ghost to avoid being kited by Anivia's slows, giving you more outplay potential. If your team needs more damage, build Lich Bane for burst. If ahead, go ability haste items for a spell-spam playstyle; delay Lich Bane.

How a strong Anivia player plays

  1. 1

    Q Harass and Wave Control

Good Anivia players will time their Q to hit you when you go for last hits, then follow up with E. If Q misses, they retreat to tower and wait for cooldown.

  2. 2

    W Wall to Force Summoners

When you approach, they place W wall to block your path, then combo with Q or R to force Flash or take full damage.

  3. 3

    R to Force Interrupts

After level 6, they use R to force you to interrupt with your R or W. After baiting your spells, they back off and wait for the next wave, then counterattack during your cooldown.
