Matchup plan

Buy Ionian Boots of Lucidity to reduce your ultimate cooldown and roam more to support your teammates.

Rune variants

  • Take Unsealed Spellbook and Resolve secondary runes. Start with Teleport. In the early game, don't fight Yasuo, only farm to avoid losing tempo.

How a strong Yasuo player plays

  1. 1

    Level 1 E to trade

Yasuo might take E at level 1 to trade. He will dash through minions to get close and harass you, making your early game difficult.

  2. 2

    Stack tornado, then freeze

After Yasuo uses Q to stack his tornado and poke you, he will draw minion aggro. He will then freeze the wave before you stack your own tornado, making it hard for you to last hit.

  3. 3

Wind Wall blocks Q to push

Yasuo will use his W Wind Wall to block your Q, preventing you from clearing the wave quickly, thus maintaining his freeze pressure.
