Against Swain, you can take Conqueror, but at lower elos, Arcane Comet is easier to win trades and secure kills. First item: Liandry's Torment, because Swain deals damage and you need damage output to counter him. Standard build is Liandry's and Horizon Focus, but you can adapt, e.g., rush Rylai's or swap for Void Staff. On first recall with 900 gold, prioritize Ionian Boots of Lucidity for ability haste and mobility.

How a strong Swain player plays

  1. 1

    E - Pull

    He will try to pull you with E first. If hit, he gains bonus max health, making trades unfavorable. Only trade after dodging E.

  2. 2

    Q - Sustain

    Even if you deal damage, he can heal with Q. You must constantly pressure to keep his HP low.

  3. 3

    Ultimate - Pressure

    Don't be intimidated when he ults; focus on dodging Q and E. The ultimate does not stack marks.
