When Azir takes Resolve runes, trade pressure decreases by ~30%. Comet or Aery poke is less effective than Electrocute; take Electrocute to maximize early pressure. If you can't lane, take Resolve runes to make it hard for him to kill you and safely push. Azir's Second Wind is weak compared to Bone Plating because its healing can't handle Electrocute burst. … Start Doran's Ring, not Doran's Blade; you don't win auto-attack trades.
