How a strong Xerath player plays

    Q poke

    Good Xerath players will frequently use Q to poke you through minions. Don't stand in line with your minions; getting hit by both the skillshot and the splash is painful.

    Ultimate interrupts recall

    He will use his ultimate to interrupt your recall. Push the wave quickly to avoid being trapped; recall after shoving for safety.

    Zhonya's Hourglass survival

    If he builds Zhonya's, don't force a kill. Exploit the long cooldown of Zhonya's; after he uses it, save your Flash for the next fight.
